SCAR is a volunteer based organization. Our volunteers do an amazing job at rescues, fostering, transporting and preparing adoptions. We are always looking for more volunteers looking to make an impact in our communities. NO experience is needed to be a volunteer for SCAR, as long as you share the same passion then we need you! Voucher Program

Our voucher program helps owners who otherwise may not be able to afford to spay or neuter their pet. We help you get scheduled and pay the cost of surgery. There may be a waiting list. This service is only provided to South Monterey County residents. Click below to APPLY

Surrendering your pet may not be easy but may be the best choice for the animal's well-being. We take these surrenders and give them an opportunity of a better life. This service is only provided to South Monterey County residents. Apply below 

Feral & Community Cats Program

We offer TNR help in 
South Monterey County. Spaying and neutering is the only solution to improve the lives of feral cats and prevent overpopulation. If you feed cats please reach out today. This service is only provided to South Monterey County residents.

SCAR Blankets!

Help support our volunteers' pet blanket project. Pet blankets are approximately 24x30". Blankets are $25 or 2 for $45. We can ship one or two for $10. Large blankets are our newest size! These blankets measure about 39x52" so they are ideal for large breeds or for humans to snuggle with their fur babies on the couch. $50 each. We can ship for $10. They hold up well. This size was originally designed for Snipville Pet Care for their large breed boarding! Message us with any questions. Designs will vary as they sell out.
