Donations are Always Appreciated
South County Animal Rescue relies on donations from generous individuals and local businesses. SCAR is a federally designated non-profit organization, which means your donations to SCAR are tax-deductible.
Where does the money go?
SCAR is 100% volunteer operated. Every dollar donated goes directly to the animals. Donations help us cover the veterinary costs for our rescues who come to us with medical needs. We are able to pay for spay and neuter, vaccinations and microchips for our rescue pets as well as the purchase of food and supplies to care for our pets while they await adoption placement. We also pay to neuter and spay community owned pets through our SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program). SNAP increases access to free and low-cost spay and neuter services for South County owned pets.
