South County Animal Rescue depends on the kindness of individuals and local businesses for donations. As a federally recognized non-profit, SCAR ensures that your contributions are tax-deductible.
Where does the money go?
SCAR is entirely run by volunteers, and every donation goes directly to helping animals. Contributions cover veterinary expenses for rescued pets with medical needs, including spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. Donations also help provide food and supplies for pets in our care while they wait for adoption. Additionally, we fund the spaying and neutering of community-owned pets through our SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program), which offers free or low-cost services to South County pet owners.
